When your project is over, you can save your habitat and order more caterpillars at a later date. Before you put away your habitat for future use, you will want to remove any meconium or sugar water stains.

• Fill a small tub or sink with warm water
• Add a drop of mild dishwashing detergent
• Swish the habitat in the soapy water
• Rinse
• Hang the habitat to dry and it will be ready for more caterpillar friends!
