How do I feed my butterflies?Updated 8 months ago
To make nectar for your butterflies, mix 2 teaspoons of sugar with 1/4 cup water and dissolve thoroughly drip a few drops of nectar onto the feeder sponge daily.
If you do not have a feeder sponge, drip a few drops of nectar onto a cotton ball, place the cotton ball on a small paper plate, and then place the paper plate in the habitat. Your butterflies will sip the nectar from the cotton ball. You also can provide your butterflies with slices of fresh fruit like orange, banana or watermelon. We also like to drip nectar onto some flowers and place the flowers in the habitat. The butterflies love to light on the flowers and drink the nectar. Plus, it looks beautiful!
