How do I remove the webbing from a chrysalis?Updated 7 months ago
When you transfer your chrysalides to the butterfly habitat, some webbing may come with them. It's important that this webbing is removed for the safety of your butterflies.
Use a cotton swab, or a very soft paintbrush to remove the webbing.
This is a very delicate process, so be sure to be careful. If it seems like the chrysalis is going to detach from the lid, you are being too aggressive. It’s important to make sure you remove the webbing so your butterflies do not get tangled in it as they emerge.
