Be careful where you place your butterfly habitat, as meconium can be absorbed by porous surfaces. Before you place your chrysalides into the butterfly habitat, be sure to place a few paper towels underneath it. The paper towels will absorb any meconium that is expelled from the butterflies when they emerge.
